NYC Farm Bill Workgroup
Promoting a 2007 Farm Bill that better meets the needs of New York City

Now Is the Time to Contact Your Senators

While there are many positive revisions to the House Farm Bill, the bill represents limited reform and critical gaps. For more info. see our House Farm Bill Wins & Losses list. It is time to look to the Senate for a better bill, one that helps ensure healthier people, economic viability for our farmers, and a sustainable food system. The timeline for the Senate bill is up in the air. Delays do mean that there is still time to make sure Senators Clinton and Schumer have heard and understand how our priorities benefit NYC, our state, and region.

The time to CALL, FAX, or EMAIL is now. If you only have a minute, a very easy way to show your support for reform critical to NYC is to SIGN ON NOW. Your voice will be heard and our strength in numbers will drive our senators to act. If you plan to write or fax, here is a sample Senate Farm Bill Letter.
